Symposium on Citizenship and Democracy
Posted by pcced 0 CommentsPCCED in cooperation with the Institute of Political Economy of the University of Asia and the Pacific (UA&P) conducted a whole-day symposium entitled “Educating Juan on Citizenship and Democracy”. The symposium was held last September 24, 2008 in UA&P’s Dizon Auditorium. This was organized on the occasion of the university’s Political Economy Week, which has the theme: “Promoting an Education In and For Democracy”.
Speakers for the symposium included Mr. Mirshariff Tillah, Ms. Monica Ang, Mr. Clement Camposano and Dr. Paul Dumol. The speakers gave talks on Case for Democracy, Economic Citizenship, Civic Culture and Pag-ibig sa Tinubuang Lupa, respectively. Participants include students from the Institute of Political Economics, as well as students from UA&P’s College of Arts and Sciences.
